Terms of Use

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and TechCreativeLab ("we," "us," "our") governing your use of the PDF Compressor iOS application ("App").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using it, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TechCreativeLab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

This license does not include the right to:

• Sell, resell, or sublicense the App
• Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Create derivative works based on the App
• Remove any proprietary notices or labels in the App

3. Permitted use

PDF Compressor is designed to help you reduce the file size of PDF documents stored on your device. You may use the App to:

• Compress PDF files for personal or professional use
• Share compressed files via standard iOS sharing features
• Save compressed files to your device or iCloud Drive

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

• Process documents you do not have the right or authorization to access
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features of the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property rights
• Engage in any automated use of the App, including scraping or data mining

5. In-App Purchases & subscriptions

Purchases

The App may offer optional in-app purchases or subscriptions to unlock premium features. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's Terms of Sale.

Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription:

• Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of each period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings

Refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law or as provided by Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, use Apple's standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will notify you of price changes in advance, and they will take effect at your next renewal unless you cancel before then.

6. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and all other content, is owned by TechCreativeLab and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your files remain your property at all times. We claim no ownership over any PDF documents you process using the App.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Any errors or defects will be corrected
• The results of using the App will meet your requirements
• The compression output will always match your expectations in terms of quality or file size

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TECHCREATIVELAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You are responsible for maintaining adequate backups of your original PDF files before using the App.

9. Apple-specific terms

PDF Compressor is distributed through Apple's App Store. The following terms apply in accordance with Apple's requirements:

• Acknowledgement: These Terms are between you and TechCreativeLab only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Scope of license: The license granted is limited to using the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
• Maintenance and support: TechCreativeLab is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to provide any support for the App.
• Warranty: Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App. Any warranty claims should be directed to TechCreativeLab.
• Product claims: TechCreativeLab, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability, consumer protection, or intellectual property infringement.
• Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you upon your acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TechCreativeLab operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

11. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective" date and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice or App Store update notes.

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the App.

12. Third-party services

To compress your files and to maintain and improve the App, we rely on the following third-party service providers. Your use of the App involves these services, each of which is governed by its own terms of service and privacy policy:

• Firebase Cloud Storage (Google) — when you compress a PDF, the file is temporarily uploaded to secure Firebase cloud storage so it can be processed, and is automatically deleted as soon as compression is complete.
• ConvertAPI — performs the actual PDF compression. Files sent for processing are handled under ConvertAPI's data-security policies and deleted once the operation finishes. See convertapi.com.
• Firebase Analytics (Google) — collects anonymous, aggregated usage and performance data to help us improve the App.
• Apple App Store — handles app distribution and processes any in-app purchases or subscriptions.

We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers, and your use of their services is subject to their respective terms. We encourage you to review them. For more detail on how your data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
