Terms of Use

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and TechCreativeLab ("we," "us," "our") governing your use of the Video Translator iOS application ("App").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using it, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TechCreativeLab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

This license does not include the right to:

• Sell, resell, or sublicense the App
• Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Create derivative works based on the App
• Remove any proprietary notices or labels in the App

3. Permitted use

Video Translator is designed to help you generate translated subtitles for videos stored on your device and burn them into the video. You may use the App to:

• Translate videos with AI-generated subtitles for personal or professional use
• Style subtitles and export videos with the subtitles burned in
• Keep a library of your translated videos on your device
• Share translated videos via standard iOS sharing features

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

• Process videos you do not have the right or authorization to use
• Create or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringing
• Misrepresent translated content as an official or certified translation
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features of the App, including usage limits
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its backend services
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property rights
• Engage in any automated use of the App, including scraping or data mining

5. In-App Purchases & subscriptions

Purchases

The App is free to download and includes a free tier of one free video translation (a single lifetime translation, not renewed daily). Optional subscriptions and one-time purchases unlock premium features (such as more daily translations, longer videos, subtitle styling, and watermark-free export). All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's Terms of Sale.

Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription:

• Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of each period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings

Refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law or as provided by Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, use Apple's standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will notify you of price changes in advance, and they will take effect at your next renewal unless you cancel before then.

6. Usage limits & fair use

Because each translation consumes cloud processing resources, the App applies usage limits that depend on your plan. The free tier allows one free video translation in total; paid plans allow a number of translations per day and longer videos. These limits are enforced using an anonymous identifier, as described in our Privacy Policy. Paid-plan limits reset daily; the free translation does not renew.

We reserve the right to adjust these limits, or to suspend access for use that circumvents them or places unreasonable load on our services.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and all other content, is owned by TechCreativeLab and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your videos remain your property at all times. We claim no ownership over any video you process using the App or over the translated videos you create with it.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Any errors or defects will be corrected
• The results of using the App will meet your requirements
• Transcriptions and translations will always be complete or accurate — they are generated automatically by AI and may contain errors, especially with background noise, music, accents, or specialized vocabulary

Do not rely on the App for translations where accuracy is critical (such as legal, medical, or safety-related content) without independent human review.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TECHCREATIVELAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You are responsible for maintaining adequate backups of your original videos before using the App.

10. Apple-specific terms

Video Translator is distributed through Apple's App Store. The following terms apply in accordance with Apple's requirements:

• Acknowledgement: These Terms are between you and TechCreativeLab only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Scope of license: The license granted is limited to using the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
• Maintenance and support: TechCreativeLab is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to provide any support for the App.
• Warranty: Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App. Any warranty claims should be directed to TechCreativeLab.
• Product claims: TechCreativeLab, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability, consumer protection, or intellectual property infringement.
• Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you upon your acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TechCreativeLab operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

12. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective" date and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice or App Store update notes.

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the App.

13. Third-party services

To generate subtitles and to maintain and improve the App, we rely on the following third-party service providers. Your use of the App involves these services, each of which is governed by its own terms of service and privacy policy:

• Google (Firebase) — provides the secure cloud infrastructure used to generate subtitles, together with anonymous usage counts, security checks, and analytics.
• OpenAI — performs the speech recognition and translation of the audio track. See openai.com/policies.
• RevenueCat — validates in-app purchases and subscriptions. See revenuecat.com.
• Apple App Store — handles app distribution and processes any in-app purchases or subscriptions.

We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers, and your use of their services is subject to their respective terms. We encourage you to review them. For more detail on how your data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
